Manager and Lead Bartender, the Barback is responsible for...

Essential Function:

  • Ensure spec guidelines are followed, log and report any discrepancies
  • Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing
    specifications are met.
  • Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
  • Actively cook/prep/assemble where needed.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists.
  • Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
  • Ensure that all products received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are
    performed in accordance with the restaurant's receiving policies and procedures.
  • Prepares a variety of batches, syrups and follows recipes accordingly
  • Understands and complies consistently with our quality standards and restaurant rules,
    policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, dishwashers,
    walk in, storage areas, tools and utensils
  • Bag and haul trash to dumpster at designed times.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
  • Promptly reports equipment and quality problems to Managers.
  • Inform Managers immediately of product shortages.
  • Uses our Standard Recipe Cards for preparing all products. Do not rely on the memory
    of yourself or other employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Lead Bartender or manager-on-duty.

  • Reports to work on time and as scheduled.
  • Understands shift ends once approved by MOD.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the
    restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor

Education and/or Experience:

  • Have working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes
  • Be 21 years of age.
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-
    sale system.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel
    and guests.

Physical Ability

  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must have exceptional grooming habits.
  • Maintain a clean uniform throughout shift.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
